Health Incubator Helsinki welcomes its 6th batch of promising startups and teams

Nine health and life sciences startups and teams with high growth potential have been selected to join Health Incubator Helsinki. The new batch started their incubator journey in May 2025.
Health Incubator Helsinki is a long-term incubator program driving transformation of health innovation, research findings, and expertise into international business while attracting new talent to Helsinki. The concept is unique in the Nordics in its focus and duration: the incubator focuses solely on health-related startups, and the program lasts up to three years.
For the sixth incubator program, Health Incubator Helsinki received 40 applications representing a wide range of health-related businesses. While the majority of the applications came from Finland, the program also attracted interest from the Nordics and beyond, including Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and India.
AI taking center stage in healthcare innovation
A defining theme of this year’s applications was the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Many teams are now leveraging AI to tackle pressing challenges, ranging from streamlining clinical documentation to enhancing mental health care.
After the interviews, the following companies and teams were selected to join the program: Doc To Doc Oy, Eipha Biosciences UAB, Innofend Oy, MultivisionDx, Ronroo Oy, Scopia Oy, Uoma Mind Oy, Viseur AI, and 4 Mind Health.
“We paid special attention to whether the teams are solving real-world problems and their potential for international scalability,” says Christian Lardot, Health Incubator Helsinki Lead. “A viable idea and an excellent team go hand in hand. All the teams we selected demonstrate strong dedication and the skillset required for success.”
Up to 3 years of customized mentoring and advice
The sixth Health Incubator Helsinki program kicked off in early May, when the new batch gathered at the Meilahti campus area to dive into the program and get to know each other. The program now continues with a two-month onboarding phase focused on strengthening fundamentals: developing product and service concepts and securing funding.
Following this phase, teams will receive individually tailored support alongside training sessions, webinars, and investor meetings open to all participants.
“After the onboarding, we interview each new team to identify the core areas where they need assistance. Depending on the topic, we help them move forward either with the support of our advisor team or by connecting the company with relevant experts from our wide network,” Lardot explains.
Training sessions also reflect startups’ requests.
“While each team is at a slightly different stage, many face similar challenges. We regularly assess what companies need and organize webinars and workshops accordingly.”
Growing need for support
In recent years, access to funding has become increasingly challenging for startups. At the same time, the demand for new health innovations continues to grow – both in Finland and globally. In the health sector, defined by complex regulatory requirements and the need for substantial funding, this highlights the critical role of long-term support programs like Health Incubator Helsinki.
“We have a strong track record of supporting our startups. Last year alone, Health Incubator Helsinki companies raised a total of 11 million euros. We’re excited to see what we’ll achieve together with this new batch of promising startups and teams,” Lardot says.

Eipha Biosciences, UAB
Scopia is a Finnish digital‑health startup turning colonoscopy quality data into real‑time insight to prevent colorectal cancer, the world’s second‑deadliest cancer. Its cloud platform records key procedure details in seconds and displays live dashboards so clinicians can raise adenoma‑detection rates and eliminate the 7 % of cancers that slip through sub‑optimal exams. Already deployed in Finnish hospitals with full GDPR compliance, Scopia lets endoscopy teams focus on patients while the software quietly lifts the bar on quality.
Innofend
Innofend is a biotech spin-off from Tampere University developing next-generation vaccines against pandemic viruses. The team’s lead product is a proprietary enterovirus platform using virus-like particles (VLPs). The technology can safely and efficiently generate protective immune responses, even against viruses that can’t be targeted using traditional methods. Innofend is combining innovative science with scalability to close critical gaps in vaccine development.
MultivisionDx
MultivisionDx aims to transform personalized diagnosis and treatment selection for cancer patients. The MultivisionDx computer vision workflow analyzes images of tumor biopsies, generating patient-specific tumor profiles describing the unique biology of each patient’s disease. This approach enables clinicians to assess tumor aggressiveness and tailor treatment strategies for individual patients.
Ronroo
Ronroo is a psychoeducation app that offers easy-to-reach support for people with self-control and executive functioning difficulties. Rather than a habit tracker or task manager, it teaches users skills and strategies with personalized learning pathways that adapt to users’ values and circumstances. Developed by a team of experts who are themselves neurodivergent, Ronroo is a research-based support system that makes self-regulation accessible for all.
Scopia
Scopia is a Finnish digital‑health startup turning colonoscopy quality data into real‑time insight to prevent colorectal cancer, the world’s second‑deadliest cancer.
